Lower Scone

Access for 2024 slightly different from description due to the New Tay Crossing road layout. Two roundabouts have been constructed.

Waulkmill and Goldcastle beats on the lower River Tay, near Stormontfield. Three rods daily from Monday 22 April to Saturday 29 June

Beat Rotation

From Monday 22 April to Saturday 11 May the fishing is rotated as below.

Thereafter the fishing is left bank only,  from Cadgers (approx 200m above top hut) to the Croy below Goldcastle.

Even years (2022 etc)

Upper Beat (Waulkmill) on Tue, Thu & Sat (Both banks)

Lower Beat (Goldcastle) on Mon, Wed & Fri (Both banks)

Odd years (2023 etc)

Upper Beat (Waulkmill) on Mon, Wed & Fri (Both banks)

Lower Beat (Goldcastle) on Tue, Thu & Sat (Both banks)

Thereafter the fishing is left bank only,  from Cadgers (approx 200m above top hut) to the Croy below Goldcastle.
