River Lyon Trout Fishing
PDAA has secured trout fishing on this fantastic river - the North Chesthill beat - from May 1 to end of trout season. PDAA days are Friday and Saturday. Two PDAA Permits will be available, online, for members only, at a charge of £12 per permit, with a take of two fish per angler.
Please click on the beat description for an overview of the full beat. This description was written for salmon fishing but gives excellent information on how to get there, where to park, and on the salmon pools. Note that if there are salmon fishermen on the beat, the pools must be avoided and fish the runs only.
N Chesthill shares the entire beat with S Chesthill and is split into three parts - Top, Middle and Bottom. A daily rotation is in place and, for PDAA, the rotation is as follows:
Friday: TOP and BOTTOM
Saturday: MIDDLE BEAT
Fishing is normally 0800hrs to 1800hrs. If you want to know if there are any salmon fishermen on the beat please call Joe Wooldridge on Mobile: XXXXXXXXX BEFORE you arrive on the beat. Similarly, if you want to fish past 1800hrs call Joe before that time.
