Someone wrote a post on a fishing forum recently, that no one had made and dedicated a salmon fly to Orri Vigusson, founder and chairman of NASCO, Atlantic salmon conservationist, who saved the lives of millions of Atlantic salmon, over the years , he championed the fight to save this iconic species from extinction. Orri died in 2017. The challenge is to design a salmon fly, in remembrance of Orri and the great work he started. Possible colours could be the Icelandic national flag, red, white, and blue.A prize of a bottle of finest malt whisky, to the best fly, will be awarded by the judges. Closing date for entries :- 1st May 2020. Judges decision final.
